We are going to talk about Mysore, also known as Mysuru. The word Mysuru is derived from the name of a demon king, Mahishasura, who was a buffalo-headed monster. This sounds interesting, right? It is believed that Goddess Chamundeshwari was the one who killed the demon Mahishasura. Goddess Chamundeshwari, an incarnation of Goddess Parvathi, was born in response to the prayers of the gods and goddesses to save them from the demon.

Now, let us unfold the secrets we were talking about. Haider Ali and Tipu Sultan are sometimes misunderstood as the rulers of the Wadiyar dynasty, which is said to have ruled the Mysore Palace since the fourteenth century. Haider Ali and Tipu Sultan were actually the first Muslim rulers of Mysore, who ruled it only during the second half of the eighteenth century,

This city is usually famous for the Dussehra celebration in Chamundeshwari Temple. It is also famous for its original and organic sandalwood. The architecture of the city is the best we have ever come across. The hotels nearby are quite affordable.
