There is something magical about escaping into the mountains, as our visit to Chanshal Valley was a perfect reminder of nature’s beauty and tranquillity. Surrounded by breathtaking landscapes, Chanshal offered a refreshing escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. Every moment spent there was memorable, making it an experience we would cherish for years to come. One of the highlights of our journey was the variety of activities thoughtfully organised by EdTerra Edventures. Among them, creating a Nature Mandala was the most fascinating. Nature Mandala is a form of temporary land art created using natural materials such as leaves, flowers, twigs, and shells. Working in teams of four or five, we carefully collected these elements and arranged them into beautiful, symmetrical, and radiating patterns. The activity symbolised balance, wholeness, and harmony while encouraging us to observe nature more closely. It was a therapeutic experience that helped us connect with both nature and ourselves, bringing our minds and hearts into harmony.

The intricate patterns reflected our creativity and encouraged us to express our thoughts freely. The process was calming and uplifting, reminding us that art can be both meaningful and healing. It also highlighted the ever-changing nature of artistic expression while strengthening our teamwork and coordination. Although Nature Mandala is an ancient art form, it resonated deeply with us and inspired us to appreciate nature mindfully. The experience was not only enjoyable but also spiritually enriching.

Nature Mandala also promoted environmental education by encouraging us to observe the diverse shapes, textures, colours, and patterns found in nature. Since the artwork was temporary, it gradually changed with the wind, rain, and other natural elements, reminding us of the beauty of impermanence. As art enthusiasts, we thoroughly enjoyed this enriching experience. It was a memorable and soulful activity that strengthened our appreciation for both art and nature.
