CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

EdTerraEdventures Pvt. Ltd. exists to provide the highest standards of service to its customers and has therefore liberal cancellation policy for it’s domestic and overseas GoDirect programs. The cancellation polices are as under:

 

1. OVERSEAS PROGRAM CANCELLATION:

CANCELLATION ON PART OF A REGISTERED JOURNEY PARTICIPANT

The Cancellation Policy applies to every participant who has registered for an EdTerraGo Direct overseas educational program and who now wishes to cancel the same.

The Cancellation Policy is based on when the participant cancels in relation to the departure date of journey departure. The date of cancellation is considered from the day a written cancellation request is received by EdTerra (email: godirect@edterra.com). The applicable refund is made within 30 days of the cancellation date.

120 days prior to Departure:  You get your entire money back minus the non-refundable fee of Rs.50,000.

119-90 days prior to Departure:  You get your entire money back minus the non-refundable fee i.e. Rs.50,000, and a cancellation fee of Rs.25,000.

89-15 days prior to Departure:  You get your entire money back minus the non-refundable fee of Rs.50,000 and 50% of the journey fee.

14-0 days prior to Departure:  No refund.

CANCELLATION ON PART OF EDTERRA EDVENTURES PVT. LTD.

EdTerra holds the right to cancel a journey if it does not meet the minimum number of participants required for the program. EdTerra will cancel a journey if unforeseen circumstances (political or social instability, inclement weather, natural disasters, acts of war, terrorist acts, incidents of violence, medical issues, public health hazards, strikes, lockouts, government instability, unusual and vast fluctuations in foreign exchange currencies, fires, etc) pose a threat to the safety and well-being of the participants. In such a situation, EdTerra may provide the participants with a journey voucher equivalent to the value paid by them for the cancelled journey, minus the non-refundable fee of Rs.50,000 and visa and insurance charges (if applicable) or reschedule the journey for which additional charges will apply. EdTerraEdventuresPvt Ltd holds the right to terminate a student’s journey owing to misbehavior on the tour, committing offences, or causing damage to public/private property. EdTerraEdventuresPvt Ltd is not responsible for covering damages incurred by the offending participants/s, and will not offer any compensation for terminating the journey.

 

2. DOMESTIC PROGRAM CANCELLATION:

CANCELLATION ON PART OF A REGISTERED JOURNEY PARTICIPANT

The Cancellation Policy applies to every participant who has registered for an EdTerraGo Direct domestic/campprogram and who wishes to cancel the same.

The Cancellation Policy is based on when the participant cancels in relation to the departure date of program departure. The date of cancellation is considered from the day a written cancellation request is received by EdTerra (email: godirect@edterra.com). Cancellations shall not be accepted over the phone. The applicable refund will be made within 30 days of the cancellation date.

14 or more days prior to departure date:  Rs 2000/- will be deducted.

13-3 days prior to departure date:  50% of the entire program fee will be deducted.

2-0 days prior to departure date:  No refund is applicable.

PARENT CONSENT

EdTerraGoDirect programs are designed for minors,therefore, all programs are booked by the parent/guardian for their ward. By pressing the “Accept” button at the end of this page, you automatically agree to the following ‘Parent Consent’. Please read all points of the Parent Consernt carefully before pressing ‘Accept’ button. Parent Consent is mandatory from a parent/guardian in order toregistertheir ward (referred hereafter as My Ward) for an EdTerra GoDirect program.
I, the parent/guardian is willingly enrolling my ward for anEdTerra Go Direct program, an initiativeof EdTerraEdventuresPvt.Ltd.(hereafterreferred as EdTerra).

I acknowledge thatI have gone through the Payment Terms andConditions.

I fully understand the inherent risks associated with international travel/outdoor basedadventure programs in hilly terrains. Ialso understand the inherent risksassociated with air, rail and road travel.

I am satisfied with the safety standards, practices and norms followed byEdTerraEdventures Pvt. Ltd., having sought all necessary informationrequired.

I have specified whether my child suffers from heart related issues or epilepsy and I have provided all relevantmedical details in the Registration Form.I have read and filled the medical detailsform carefully.

I am aware that while on an EdTerra journey, My Ward is not allowed to visit any friends and relatives and that I am obligated for My Ward’s return to back with the group as per the program’s travel arrangement and schedule.

I understand that I will bear the cost of bringing my child/ward back from the program in case she/he is caught carrying or using alcohol, cigarettes, drugs or forunacceptable behaviour towards other participants or staff during the program.

I understand that any personal expenses (phone calls, beverages, incidental expenses, hotel services, etc) that My Ward incurs while on an EdTerra journey shall be paid entirely by me. I will also be fully responsible for any damages caused by My Ward to public or private property (airline, hotel, coach, train, ferry or any other such property) and will be liable to pay for the same.

My Ward shall follow the rules and regulations set by EdTerra for its journeys. My Ward will also follow the instructions of the accompanying EdTerra Journey Mentor. I understand that My Ward’s failure to comply to them may result in My Ward’s expulsion from the program, following which I will not be entitled to any refund and My Ward will be sent home at my own expense.

My Ward at all times during the program will be in the group. EdTerra will not be responsible or liable for My Ward’s absence from the group or the tour at any given time during the program.

If My Ward falls sick / is injured or becomes incapacitated, Journey Mentor or EdTerra may take any and all actions necessary for My Ward’s safety and well-being. This includes securing medical treatment at all costs and arranging transportation to my home destination at my expense even if the same is not covered by My Ward’s insurance.

I understand that EdTerraEdventuresPvt.Ltd. will not be held responsible forthe loss of money or any valuables that my child may be carrying on the program.

I agree to all the rules and regulations regarding participation, fee paymentand cancellation policy, having read through the details and understood thesame.

I have explained to my child that she/heis expected to participate in all therequired activities in the program andadhere to camp rules and regulations.

I release, indemnify or hold harmless EdTerra and its affiliates (which term shall include all individuals companies which directly or indirectly own or control EdTerra and/or are owned or controlled by EdTerra, as well as any other company which is in any other way associated with, or affiliated to EdTerra, regardless of in which country the company in question is registered, and their respective directors, officers or employees and agents) from any and all claims arising from or in connection with any personal injury, bodily injury, mental anguish, emotional distress, physical property or any other damage whatsoever that My Ward has suffered, or may suffer, while on an EdTerra GoDirect program.

I permit EdTerraEdventuresPvt.Ltd to use my wards or publish any photograph or film oruse any comments or quotes made bymy child /ward during the camp.EdTerra may use my contact information to inform me about itsfuture journeys, programs, etc.

I understand that this Parent Consent given by me is governed entirely bythe laws of India. In the event of any dispute arising with regards to My Ward’s participation in an EdTerra journey, or any claim, dispute or proceeding, which in contract, tort, or otherwise at law or in equity should arise between me and EdTerra and / or its affiliates, whether or not related to this declaration, I submit and consent to the exclusive jurisdiction and venue of the courts of Delhi.
