What’s the first thing that comes to your mind while talking about travelling — entertainment, right? Well, when one wants to learn and live fully at the same time, Orlando is a destination that can come to your rescue.

On our school trip to the USA, my group and I visited Orlando. It is popularly known as ‘The City Beautiful’. ’The first day in Orlando was spent at Universal Studios. It was an overwhelming and joyous experience. All those fascinating theme-based rides, the furiously fast roller coasters, and fun-filled souvenir shops do not fail to attract people from all over the world. The Incredible Hulk Coaster is one of the scariest rides in the theme park. A large number of children visiting this popular theme park contributes to the growing number of tourists coming to Orlando. In fact, about 72 million people visited Orlando in 2017.

After this, a visit to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center near Orlando was a whole new experience. Situated at Merritt Island in Florida, the Kennedy Space Center is one of NASA’s ten field centres. We went on a guided bus tour through the space agency and learnt a lot about launch stations, satellites, rockets, and various missions. We got a chance to see Saturn V — the tallest, heaviest, and the most powerful rocket to be ever built. This was followed by an IMAX movie. Let us not forget that we actually got to touch a piece of lunar rock.

I would like to conclude by advising everyone visiting the USA to go to Orlando at least once and experience the immense pleasure in the amusement parks and educational sites of the ‘theme park capital of the world’.
