We recently visited the beautiful city of Visakhapatnam. We explored some astonishing and educational museums, including the Sea Harrier Museum, Kursura Submarine Museum, and TU 142 Aircraft Museum. These museums left us fascinated by the rich history and technological advancements they showcased.
The Sea Harrier Museum has been a significant historical spot in Vizag for decades, attracting people from all over the country. The museum displays various fighter jets and models from the Goa airbase, providing a glimpse into the country’s aviation history.
The Kurusura Museum has been fashioned from a real submarine that was used in war and is a unique attraction. It features authentic submarine parts with minimal modifications, allowing visitors to experience the cramped quarters and understand the challenges faced by submariners.
Another museum that left us in awe was the TU 142 Aircraft Museum in Visakhapatnam. This museum houses a decommissioned TU 142 aircraft, giving visitors a chance to explore the inner workings of this iconic aircraft and learn about its role in the Indian Navy.
Our visit to these museums provided valuable insights into the workings of our navy and air force. It highlights the dedication and sacrifices of our armed forces. Exploring the engines and components of submarines and aircraft deepened our appreciation for the heroes of the Indian Air Force. These museums are a must-visit for those interested in the navy and air force, offering a unique opportunity to learn about the country’s defence forces. It was a great experience for us all. We came back with wonderful memories that will last a lifetime.
