We are 12th-grade students of G.D. Goenka Public School, Ghaziabad. We are here to share our experience about our adventure camp at Majkhali.

On the first day that we arrived, before embarking on the trek, we learnt about the Leave No Trace (LNT) principles. In the afternoon, we started our trek, during which we were informed about techniques to make hiking easier. Later in the evening, we hiked up a mountain, built our own stove from stones, and cooked Maggi. We ended the day with a delicious dinner.

The next day, we went for a morning walk and did a warm-up routine. In the afternoon, we enjoyed a zipline activity and a rope course. After lunch, we learnt about shelter-making and tent-pitching. We also had a crucial lesson in evacuation and first aid. The day ended with a bonfire, followed by a fun and energetic DJ session.

On our last day, we hiked up a mountain at 5 a.m. to watch the sunrise. Our mentors organized a series of games and activities to teach us about coordination and teamwork. We also engaged in tree Jumaring. After lunch, we participated in a series of challenges and the best team was selected and awarded.

Our mentors were very creative and supportive throughout the activities. They were also very sweet and kind to us. All the activities were informative and inspiring. During this trip, we learnt many valuable lessons about connecting with nature, survival, teamwork, and coordination.
