The Eiffel Tower, called La Tour Eiffel in French, derives its name from its designer, Gustave Eiffel. Construction of the iconic Eiffel Tower began in 1887 and took two years, two months and five days to complete. Upon its completion, the Eiffel Tower met with immediate and tremendous success, becoming an enduring icon of Paris and human ingenuity.

We had to stand in a very long queue to enter the Eiffel Tower, but the wait was worthwhile. The view from the third floor of the Eiffel was breathtaking, offering a panoramic vista of the beautiful city of Paris. There were shops and cafes on the third and second floors, adding convenience to our visit. Despite the allure of the surroundings, we remained vigilant, having been forewarned about the presence of pickpockets in the area.

We also got a chance to delve into the history of the Eiffel Tower, which was an amazing experience. We learnt that the Eiffel Tower is often regarded as a symbol commemorating the centenary of the French Revolution. It represents a defining moment of the industrial era in Paris and stands as a testament to the excellence of French engineering.

We hope to get more opportunities to experience such beauty in the future. As one of the greatest landmarks globally, the Eiffel Tower captivates visitors from all corners of the world. The overall experience of visiting the Eiffel Tower was a mind-blowing experience, with its sparkling lights resembling a scene from heaven.
