It is quite easy to look up a place on the internet and assume it will be easy to survive there, but is it actually that simple?
Adventure camps are a fun way to test our survival skills in the wilderness with limited resources, while developing our inner self and exploring new hobbies and activities. It is a great way to reduce stress while connecting with nature and developing inner peace. It provides what a phone can’t. It teaches us about nature, how to find fun in certain things, how to develop your personality, and most importantly, it also gives us a memorable experience!
We were able to experience all this at our adventure camp in Koti. We not only had fun, but also learnt invaluable lessons and developed important skills. Adventure camps teach 21st Century Skills by providing experiences that foster critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, communication, and resilience. Adventure activities like trekking, rock climbing, and other survival challenges required us as participants to assess situations and make strategic decisions based on the situation. Unpredictable environment and limited resources often forced us to think outside the box and come up with creative solutions. This nurtured innovation and flexible thinking.
In conclusion, adventure camps equip us with a broad range of skills essential for personal and professional success in the 21st century. We were excited to participate in all the activities at our camp as it would not only build our bonds with each other but also teach us important life skills.
