Dalhousie is a town where one can find peace of mind and relaxation. Visitors can have a fun time away from the hectic schedule of city life. The town of Dalhousie is an amalgamation of heritage and natural beauty. When we visited this beautiful town in India, we were awestruck by the mesmerising beauty of its mountains. We were very excited to have a trip with our friends. The best part of the trip was the trek to Shri Pholani Devi Temple. The trek was 1.5 kilometres long. It was a mind-boggling experience, as we witnessed the view from the hilltop and captured some breathtaking photographs. Though it was a difficult trek, we enjoyed the company of our friends and amazing teachers. Visiting the temple also evoked spirituality in us.
Another example of the amazing beauty is the tourist destination of Khajjiar. It is a saucer-shaped plateau embraced by lush green mountains. Its beauty really gave us goosebumps. It also has a pond, around which we played several games like football and kho-kho among others. Another example of the cultural richness of the city is its Tibetan Market, which consists of small souvenir shops. The people there were also friendly.
In the end, we all would like to say that this town is rightly called the ‘Mini Switzerland of India’ and is a must-visit destination. This is the best place for anyone looking to reduce stress and get relaxed. We had a lot of fun, and we believe that anyone who visits this beautiful town(especially teenagers and adults who are tired of their busy schedule) will surely take away a lasting impact.
