Amber Fort is a magnificent fort that represents the history of Rajput rulers. Amber Fort’s beauty is truly mesmerising. From intricate mirror designs in Diwan-i-Khas to the marble pillars of Diwan-i-Aam, the fort is truly an architectural marvel.
The Ganesh Pol is located in the main palace of the Amber Fort. It is said that the Hindu god, Ganesha has protected the fort for over four hundred years. He is the symbol of good fortune and is a provider of prosperity. The Ganesh Pol is a gateway to three private palaces, one of which is the Diwan-i-Khas. Diwan-i-Khas again has intricate artwork and is the embodiment of unique craftsmanship. Its intricate mirror work can illuminate the entire room just by lighting a single candle. To reach the Amber Fort, a number of jeeps or small vehicles need to be taken up a steep road. The journey takes an hour to reach, whether with or without traffic.
