We got an opportunity from our school to visit Agra. We were excited to see the magnificent monuments at Agra – the Taj Mahal, Fatehpur Sikri and the Agra Fort..

We had to reach our school at 05:00 a.m. After reaching the school, we boarded the bus and left for Agra. We were eager to visit the monuments in Agra

On the first day, we went to the Agra Fort. Our guide gave us a lot of information about the fort. We explored the complex of the Agra Fort and learnt about major attractions like Moti Masjid, Diwan-i-Khas, Jahangiri Mahal and Diwan-i-Aam. We also saw Musamman Burj where Shah Jahan was kept as a prisoner by his son Aurangzeb from 1658 until his death in 1666.

After having lunch, we visited Fatehpur Sikri.

When we reached the hotel at night, we had dinner. Afterwards, we had a DJ session and then we slept.

The next day, we woke up at 06:00 a.m. We took a bath and went to have breakfast. Later, we visited the Taj Mahal. We had to wear shoe covers at the mausoleum so that the white marble doesn’t get dirty. We loved exploring the entire complex of the Taj Mahal. It is one of the Seven Wonders of the World and was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1983.

We had delicious food and learnt about Mughal history. All the monuments at Agra are prominent. EdTerra planned a DJ session, which was a lot of fun. We enjoyed the various games and activities planned by EdTerra Edventures.
