Our school not too long ago organised a camping program to Bhimtal-Nainital, where all the respective students of grade 9 went on an expedition moderated by EdTerra. This venture aimed to propagate a mindset of adventure, thrill, enjoyment and most importantly, a new experience.
Various activities were planned and administered by the committee of EdTerra. This camping program allowed numerous students to come to terms with the fact that aside from academics and sports, certain adventures and expeditions with friends are also needed. Expeditions that enable a sense of adventure and bravery.
This camping program allowed various students to overcome their fear of heights through activities such as rappelling, zipline and ropes-course. Initially, people were terrified of the obstacles but by the guidance from the instructors they overcame their fear and completed their activities with merit. We had a great adventure of self-discovery. We learnt the value of teamwork and cooperation.
In conclusion, the expedition enabled us to break out from our shells, discover a world we had never seen before, learn more about our peers and create memories that we can cherish throughout our life.
