Mysore Palace: Where History and Mystery Interlace 2026

Mysore Palace, also called Amba Vilas Palace, is the royal residence of the Wadiyar dynasty, who historically ruled Mysore for over 500 years. The present palace was built in 1912 after the old wooden structure was destroyed by fire.

The royal family led the festivities, including the famous Jumbo Savari procession, which attracted thousands of visitors. Even today, the palace plays a central role in Dussehra celebrations and draws millions of visitors every year.
