On 14th November when the clock struck at 10 p.m., our first trip with EdTerra Edventures started to shape up as we began our journey to explore the stunning views of Chakrata located in the beautiful hills of the Himalayas. The long overnight travel to reach the destination gave us the motivation to pull up our socks and prepare to face the most adventurous part of the trip.

Upon reaching the lovely base camp, our first day started with a briefing about the basics of camping. We were taught about the guidelines of LNT (Leave No Trace) and the rules of camping to get familiar with the chances we might face in the upcoming trek. After the session, we started the much-awaited journey to trek where we encountered the steep and rough hills of the majestic Himalayas. The experience of navigating through the tricky terrains made us question our life choices.

But the company of our peers and friends during the difficult trek made us face the hurdles with light-hearted jokes and laughter that echoed through the valleys of the rocky terrain leading us to complete the trek like a piece of cake. The day eventually ended with us getting the chance to see the breathtaking sunset which painted the sky with hues of orange and purple. We also engaged in a fun activity where we made maggi by gathering sticks to start a fire.

The second day was focused towards adventure, as we got the chance to face dangers like Indiana Jones and indulge in activities ranging from zip lines to rappelling. While enjoying our time in nature, we also started bonfires to fuel, re-igniting the passion and energy in all of us. The trip also helped us in building a strong bond with the management who became like a second family, especially, our journey mentor, Tuba ma’am, who always looked after us.

Thank you EdTerra for making our trip a concert, and giving us some unforgettable memories that we will never forget for a lifetime.
