Our trip to Ranthambore was an exciting and unforgettable adventure. Ranthambore is known for its fascinating history and thrilling jungle safaris, and we were fortunate to experience both. However, we also learnt about the darker side of Ranthambor, i.e., poaching. Poaching is when animals are killed illegally for human gain, and it remains a serious issue in the area. Despite this, we had a fantastic time exploring the historical sites and experiencing the wildlife that makes Ranthambore so special.

One of the highlights of our visit was Ranthambore Fort, which was built by Raja Jayant Singh. The fort is protected by seven gates, which once safeguarded the king and his family. Today, only four gates are open to visitors, while the others are kept locked by the government. The fort is full of history, with gun points that were used in battles. We also visited the Dastakar, where local villagers create and sell handmade items. It was wonderful to see the craftsmanship and learn how these items help support the local community.

No trip to Ranthambore would be complete without a visit to Ranthambore National Park. The park is home to a wide variety of animals, including leopards, sloth bears, crocodiles, and of course, the magnificent Royal Bengal Tigers. The park also has many different species of birds, making it a haven for nature lovers. Overall, Ranthambore is a fantastic place for anyone seeking adventure. It offers a mix of historical landmarks, exciting safaris, and natural beauty, leaving us with lasting memories of this incredible place.
