We believe that only a few places can match the beautiful and historical charm of Mukteshwar. The town is a complex labyrinth of winding roads, where each road holds centuries of memories, culture, and traditions. Our journey to Mukteshwar allowed us to experience the journey as seen in several Bollywood movies, a feeling we had only imagined.

The chilled air rushing through the rolled-down windows of our Innovas was an exhilarating start to our journey. Next, the guides at the TRISHA Bio farm (TERI Himalayan Centre) provided an insightful overview of decades of work to sustain Uttarakhand’s horticulture and agriculture. We also learnt about the radio station initiative called Kumaon Vani, which was undertaken to create a communication bridge between the people of Kumaon and the rest of the nation. We were fortunate to tour the radio station, which helped us understand the technical aspects of radio broadcasting.

Furthermore, the farm tour taught us the process of growing and cultivating local plant species. Next, this journey took a spiritual turn when we visited Mahadev Temple (also known as Mukteshwar Dham), which is a 350-year-old temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Every step brought us closer to a spiritual awakening, and reaching the top made us feel fulfilled. Finally, we travelled to Chauli Ki Jali, which marked the culmination of the entire journey: a scenic viewpoint that let us see Mukteshwar in all its beauty. Mukteshwar offers a vast diversity for people with different interests, with experiences ranging from scientific research initiatives to natural landscapes. We invite you to discover secrets hidden in the pockets of these mountains for yourself.
