After years of Covid, the joy of spending time with friends and going to a different place was unmatchable. I had the amazing opportunity to go to Sursinghdhar, Tehri with my school friends arranged by EdTerra. The trip was special for me as the peace and calm I felt was much needed. The chilly winds with a bright sun, lush green mountains with daunting slopes and the numerous little houses scattered like stars on the ground appeared well harmonized. It allowed me to change my perspective. The world seemed much serene and I found all my senses heightened.

The prevailing sound of crickets at night and the wakening chirping of the birds in the morning were a gift to the ears. I loved the smell of earth. The unpolluted air in itself was refreshing and was accessorized by the fragrance of various flowers on our campsite.

A perfect hue coloured the sky with royal mountains dressed in fluffy clouds. The sunrise was outworldly. I felt like stopping time and observing it. No camera could have captured the sunrise perfectly. The sky was filled with stars at night. I had never seen so many stars before. It was as if someone had sewed diamonds in the sky.
