The tiger is our national animal. While it’s widely acknowledged that tigers are formidable, powerful and solitary creatures, there’s much more to these majestic animals. We, the students of Vishal Bharti Public School, got a chance to visit Jim Corbett National Park, a tiger reserve in Uttarakhand, which is home to more than two hundred and fifty tigers. The experience allowed us to witness the natural habitat of the tigers, making our visit to Jim Corbett a truly unforgettable adventure. Here, we delved into the lesser-known information about tigers, such as their lifestyle, habitat and dietary habits.

Our journey included a memorable jungle safari in jeeps during the early morning hours. Upon entering the forest, we were amazed by its scenic beauty and vibrant lush greenery. The weather was pleasant, the wind was cold and the sky was clear. Inside the forest, we encountered captivating scenes, such as a river flowing on the small white rocks and crossing through roads and small hills. We also spotted monkeys, langurs, spotted deer and termite mounds. Delving into the significance of termite mounds, we learnt how they serve as indicators of a healthy forest ecosystem. The safari also allowed us to immerse ourselves in the sounds of numerous birds and animals.

Jim Corbett is a breathtaking place to spend your holidays with your family and friends. Are you ready to visit these lush green forests of Jim Corbett located in the divine hills of Uttarakhand and learn more about tigers?
