Goa is a beautiful state as we all have seen, but there is more to it than what meets the eye. This blog provides information about all the places that one needs to see while visiting Goa.
There are several significant architectural landmarks in Goa, such as the St. Cajetan church, St. Cathedral, Basilica of Bom Jesus, and Aguada Fort. Goa is also home to exquisite beaches such as Baga beach and Vagator beach. Millions of tourists are keen to visit Goa because of its history as a Portuguese colony for over 450 years as the Portuguese ruled Goa from 1510 to 1961. Many students visit Goa for educational purposes. Basilica of Bom Jesus is one of the educational destinations in Goa. It was built in 1605 and it houses the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier, a co-founder of the Jesuit order. This famous church is also a part of the UNESCO World Heritage site. The Basilica of Bom Jesus is built in Baroque architectural style. This architecture basically consists of symbols that represent European culture. The designs, glass stained windows, carved sculptures etc. are enough to blow your mind.
Goa is a vital state for our Indian economy because of its tourism. It is essential to visit Goa to know more about its extraordinary history and everyone, especially students, should be aware about it. We would like to share from our experience that everyone should visit Goa not just because of its pretty beaches, but also to know and get empowered from its amazing history and organic culture.
