A Summer Well Spent in Orlando

Landing in Orlando on a cool summer evening was a dream come true for all of us. The city is known for being the “Theme Park Capital of the World”, while also being home to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. It was just as wonderful and amazing as we had imagined.

On the first day, we had the pleasure of visiting Disneyland, which is a theme park with multiple rides, reminding us of our favourite childhood cartoons and characters. The Pirates of the Caribbean ride was the most liked by all of us and turned out to be our favourite.

The fireworks show at Disneyland was truly the climax and best part of the whole experience. The next day, we travelled from Orlando to Cape Canaveral and then to NASA’s Kennedy Space Center. The space center truly opened our eyes to the world of science and astronomy. We learnt about the different rockets and shuttles used in space missions like Apollo 11. It was really a unique experience. We also got to visit the Florida Mall and Walmart for shopping. Our favourite part of the trip was the visit to Universal Studios, where we got the opportunity to ride multiple roller coaster rides. The best rides, in our opinion, were the simulator rides and the Hulk ride. We got excited as we spotted the Hogwart’s castle from Harry Potter.

We would like to end the blog by thanking our journey mentor, Sohail Sir, EdTerra Edventures, and our school for organising such a wonderful trip. Orlando will always be an unforgettable experience which will stay with us forever.
