During our journey to Chanshal Valley, we participated in several activities that helped us connect with nature and learn valuable life lessons. One of those activities was making Nature Mandala art. We were divided into groups of ten for the activity.

To begin with the activity, our teachers and Journey Mentors guided us to the riverside, where we used natural things to create a Nature Mandala art. We did not pluck a single leaf or flower. We used materials that had already fallen on the precious Mother Earth to show our gratitude towards nature, alongside our effort to protect it. This taught us that nature provides us with countless resources, and it is our responsibility to use them wisely without causing harm to the environment.

We observed that the circular design of our Mandala symbolised the continuity of life and the strong connection between humans and nature. The spaces within the design reminded us that there is always room for growth, learning, and new possibilities. The gifts of nature found amidst the beauty of Chanshal Valley accessorised our artwork. On the banks of the Pabbar River, our team, the Kasukabe Defence Force, came together not only to create a Nature Mandala but also to spread awareness about protecting India’s rich natural and cultural heritage.

At last, we are grateful to our teachers, Journey Mentors, and EdTerra for providing us with this meaningful experience. Through this activity, we learnt the importance of teamwork, creativity, and environmental responsibility. More importantly, it helped us appreciate the beauty of nature and understand why preserving our natural and cultural heritage is essential. We hope our experience inspires others to respect nature and contribute to its conservation for future generations.
