We often find ourselves engrossed in devices, slowly losing touch with nature and even with ourselves. But what happens when we choose nature for three whole days instead of screens? This trip showed us exactly that. We discovered animals, places, and people we had never noticed before and realised that nature is only scary if we refuse to understand it. It was 6 a.m., and we began our journey with a visit to a temple, starting the trip with a sense of calm and gratitude. It felt like the right way to begin an adventure that promised learning and discovery.

Soon after, we reached Nainital, a beautiful hill town surrounded by lakes and forests. Walking through its lively streets, we learnt about local handicrafts, small-scale businesses, and how tourism supports the local economy. From buying souvenirs to enjoying simple food like momos and pizza, we experienced everyday life beyond our routines. Naini Lake taught us about freshwater ecosystems, and we noticed how fish, birds, and people coexist around it.

The safari at Jim Corbett was the most awaited. Observing animals like deer, sloth bear, and various others in their natural habitat helped us understand how forests function as complete ecosystems. We learnt the importance of staying quiet, not littering, and respecting wildlife. Seeing monkeys, birds, and dense vegetation made us realise how rich biodiversity truly is.

Evenings were filled with dance nights, laughter, and conversations that needed no internet. Sitting together with UNO cards and friends reminded us that connection does not require a network, just presence.
