Imagine a place that has both forests and rugged terrains, a wonderful land where we can travel, explore, and have fun. This is Ranthambore, a place of diverse habitats and rich biodiversity, far away from home and family.

Ranthambore is a beautiful national park located in the East of Rajasthan. It spans more than a thousand square kilometres in area. In this beautiful national park, you may, and surely will, find fascinating animals and structures. Ranthambore preserves its tradition and wildlife in the most beautiful ways, not just through its tiger reserve but also through the Dastkar NGO and the Rajiv Gandhi Museum Regional Museum of Natural History.

The magic of Ranthambore is worth experiencing. But beyond the fun and adventure, what many may not realise from simply reading Wikipedia is that tigers are still being poached, surviving only in shrinking pockets of forest. During our journey, we learnt how different body parts of tigers are used in making traditional medicines to cure toothaches, skin diseases, scalp diseases, and more. We also learnt about Machli, the once and forever Queen of Ranthambore, whose story continues to inspire everyone.

The villages here are charming, holding tightly to their heritage. The government of India has also been actively working towards the conservation of these big cats through initiatives like the Project Tiger. Lastly, with all our love and gratitude, this journey cannot be captured fully in just one blog. So, we end on a happy note with love and thanks from our team of ten explorers.
