This blog is about our pleasant journey to Monteria. Since it was an educational visit, we learnt many things about farmers, the manufacturing of biodegradable products, biogas, and many more. At the beginning of the journey, we witnessed how the farmers work in extreme conditions and the amount of hard work it takes for crops to grow. At that moment, we realised that farming is not an easy task.

We were amazed by how Monteria is rooted in tradition. As a tourist retreat, this place offers a glimpse of tradition by providing organic food and training sessions on various agricultural techniques. Besides these experiences, we also got to live inside traditional huts, chalets, bhunga suites, and bamboo cottages. This is why Monteria claims to be India’s first self-sustainable and eco-friendly village retreat.

Apart from these, we also enjoyed some adventure activities like ziplining, rope courses, and zip cycling. There was also a foot acupressure path, which helps with regulating blood circulation and calming and relaxing the body. These fun activities made our trip more exciting.

We also took part in learning Monteria’s traditional arts and crafts, like pottery making, tailoring, and hammering. Interestingly, Monteria holds its own Anand Mela, which is quite popular in the region. Overall, it was a completely enjoyable and truly educational journey. We loved the experience of modernity meeting tradition. We thank EdTerra for this wonderful journey.
