“Life at risk, life at adventure.”
Pushing yourself out of your comfort zone is the greatest achievement. Our upcoming experience at Viratkhai was no less than an adventure and made us leave our comfort zone.

Being a 12th grader, we wanted our last school trip to be exciting and memorable, which was eventually made possible through EdTerra. The excitement we had for the trip was worth it. We started our journey with a bus ride at night. The ride was comfortable and enjoyable. The next morning started at Viratkhai with a beautiful view and a soothing breeze.

We got assigned our tents and cottages. The rooms were clean and big enough. We continued our day with an introduction and a briefing from our supportive mentors and outdoor instructors (ODIs). They were all excellent at their job. Firstly, we did a 4 kilometre hike with a breathtaking view. By the end of the day, we also saw a beautiful sunset and made Maggie with our group.

During our daytime adventures, we were all divided into groups, which taught us the important skill of teamwork. The next day, we started our day with exercise, then moved ahead to activities such as jumaring, valley crossing, and first aid training called DRSABCD. Major skills that we learnt were discipline, teamwork, and survival skills.

This trip was made possible through our excellent mentors and ODIs. We learnt lessons such as LNT, teamwork, sharing, goal setting, and time management. All the activities were interesting and enjoyable. Despite being in a remote place, everything was handled fabulously. In a nutshell, this trip was worth every penny, and Viratkhai was worth every moment. This was the best trip one could have, especially with friends, during the final year of school.
