India’s history flows like an ancient river. It carries stories of empires, sages, struggles, and a spirit that rises anew with every age. During our Agra journey, we explored how our Indian history shapes young learners like us. From textbooks to grand fort walls, we touched the past in the historic land of Agra.

We were guided through beauty unseen by us before, dating back to the Mughal era, the glory of India’s past. We felt grateful that EdTerra provided us with this educational tour to witness and understand this beauty. On the first day, we visited the Taj Mahal. We learnt about Shah Jahan’s love for his wife Mumtaz Mahal, reflected in the white marble that shines brilliantly even today. We also observed true Persian art and intricate craftsmanship. The floors, walls, and detailed inlay work made the monument feel alive with history.

Our visit to the Taj Mahal was followed by the Agra Fort on the second day. We entered through the Amar Singh Gate, and its towering red sandstone walls instantly caught our attention. Our experienced guide explained the important sections such as Diwan-i-Aam, the courtyards, the masjids, the soldiers’ areas, and the Jahangir Mahal. One of our favourite spots was the royal bathtub gifted during a wedding ceremony. It was something truly historic and fascinating to see in real life.

Agra dazzled us with its history and the echoes of its past. It is a city filled with majestic monuments that left a deep impression on us. The glory of the Taj Mahal and the grandeur of the Agra Fort made this journey unforgettable.
