Our trip to Udaipur was a perfect blend of spirituality, nature, history and much more. This journey gave us the opportunity of exploring information beyond textbooks and classrooms. From royal landmarks to peaceful temples and vibrant streets, every place added something special to our journey of learning.

We began our exploration at Saheliyon Ki Bari, a beautifully designed garden, symbolising royal elegance and artistic excellence. The fountain of greenery reflected the lifestyle of queens and their companions. We learnt that it was built in the 18th century by Maharana Sangram Singh II, and designed exclusively for royal women. It features marble pavilions, lotus pools, and musical fountains that once worked without electricity. Our next stop was the majestic City Palace, whose grand architecture and courtyards narrated the glorious history of Mewar. Overlooking Lake Pichola, it is one of the largest palace complexes in Rajasthan. We were astonished to know that its construction took nearly 400 years to complete! Next, we visited the Dilwara temple in Mount Abu. It was a very peaceful and a spiritual experience. We admired this Jain temple’s carved marbles and exceptional craftsmanship.

Afterwards, we went to the Adhar Devi temple located on a hilltop, offering spiritual calm along with a breathtaking view. This temple is carved inside a rock cave dedicated to Goddess Durga. Next, the Naki Lake with its calm waters and scenic surroundings, offered moments of relaxation and reflection and made it one of the most refreshing moments of our trip. Finally, our journey concluded at Mall Road, which gave a modern and lively vibe as we shopped a lot.

Our Udaipur trip turned out to be a memorable learning experience combining culture, history and more. Our team returned with unforgettable memories and lessons that will stay with us for a lifetime.
