Barefoot College is a great institution in Rajasthan where women, poor, illiterate, and old people are educated for free. It is truly one of a kind.

We had a fascinating trip to Barefoot College. There, we learnt about a man who studied in the most expensive colleges and left everything to work in a village. His name was Bunker Roy. His full name was Sanjit Roy. We received a great and fascinating briefing from a teacher at Barefoot College. It felt as if we were in the past and he was narrating a story. We saw how Kathputli, which is very famous in Rajasthan, is made and performed. We also observed that people who were not given an education as children were taught special skills to serve the community. We saw how garbage management was united with innovation to create majestic things. Women from around the world, despite the language barrier, overcame difficulties to learn skills and make their villages proud. People were also taught the repair of handicrafts to help others.

Live a life that changes lives. Our experience at Barefoot College taught us many lessons and served as an inspirational guide for our future deeds. Discrimination based on caste and gender was removed, and the goals of gender equality were followed strictly. Let us now make a promise to ourselves that we will lead a life that makes people happy, rather than thinking only about ourselves.
