Our school trip to Japan was a perfect combination of fun and learning. It was a chance to experience a new culture while bonding with friends outside the classroom.
During our trip, we visited famous places like the Tokyo Skytree, where we saw the entire city from above. We also visited the Senso-ji Temple, one of Japan’s oldest and most respected temples. We learnt that Senso-ji was founded in the year 645 AD and is dedicated to Kannon, the Buddhist goddess of mercy.
We also explored local markets, cultural streets, and modern areas filled with technology and tradition. These areas reflect how Japan preserves its rich heritage while embracing innovation. We learnt how to use Japan’s public transport, followed group instructions, and managed our time through daily schedules. This also taught us how public systems are organised in Japan, which is known for its punctuality and efficiency.
Teachers helped us to understand the history behind the places we visited. We also got to experience Japanese customs, food, and learn about their social behaviour. For example, we learnt about the importance of bowing as a form of respect and how meals are often enjoyed quietly, reflecting mindfulness and appreciation. Each day in Tokyo offered something new to explore.
This school trip to Tokyo helped us grow as students and individuals. It taught us discipline and responsibility. It wasn’t just sightseeing, it was an educational journey with a lot of fun.
