We believe that Saputara is Gujarat’s hidden gem, with a perfect hill station experience and stunning gardens. The sunrise and sunset paint the sky in breathtaking shades of red. It is a wonderful and joyful place to visit with friends and family.

The mentors arranged a workshop for us where we learnt how to draw Warli paintings. We also learnt about the origin of Warli art. The paint used in Warli art is a white pigment made from a mixture of rice flour and water, with gum as a binder. This is the reason why most of their paintings are white.

Warli art is a simple and elegant art form. While some may say that it is messy, we feel that it is an abstract and beautiful art. We visited the sunrise point where we learnt about being punctual. The quote “The early bird gets the worm” seems applicable in this case as we were able to enjoy the sunrise fully. The sunrise was truly stunning. Watching the sunrise, we realised how the morning brightens and the temperature gradually warms. The whole experience of the journey taught us about being patient and observant.

By visiting Saputara, we got to know about various tribes and their culture, lifestyle, art, and their beautiful ornaments. We learnt about Warli art in a fun and interactive way. The beauty of the Rose Garden was mesmerising. It has many varieties of roses. Visiting Saputara with friends was an adventurous and unforgettable experience. We thank our school and EdTerra Edventures for such an educational tour, providing us with knowledge and an amazing time.
