Dharamshala is truly a magnificent place filled with mesmerising mountains and beautiful trees, but did you know there is more to see here? Hello, we Millennials are here to tell you about the beauty of Dharamshala.
First, we visited Norbulingka Institute, which is a Tibetan institute dedicated to preserving their traditional art and culture. We also visited the Losel Doll Museum at the Norbulingka Institute, which has a history of its own. The residents of Dharamshala used to portray their baby girls as beautiful dolls. When they grew up, these dolls were given as dowries during their marriage.
On the same day, we visited the famous cricket stadium of Himachal Pradesh Cricket Association. It was situated at an altitude of 1,457 metres above sea level. This day was truly memorable. While we were returning, we saw some extraordinary views that we will cherish forever.
The next day, we went to the beautiful Bhagsunath Temple. We also hiked up to reach the Bhagsu falls, which was truly flabbergasting. The water was so clear and chilly that our legs were freezing as we stepped in. We also shopped from the Bhagsu market and found that the quality of the products were very rich. Lastly, we visited the St. John’s Church and Tsuglagkhang Complex. The church was built during the British colonial era. We learnt that Tsuglagkhang Complex is famous for housing the Dalai Lama’s temple and residence.
Our experience with EdTerra Edventures was truly fun. They made our trip effortless and memorable. The places we visited were absolutely amazing.
