We had many great experiences during our adventure camp at Chail. On the second day of our adventure camp, we were thrilled to do the Maggi noodles making activity with our friends. Although we had a variety of adventurous activities to do during the camp, this stood out because it involved trekking and then finding resources in the wilderness to cook our favourite snack.

Everyone started with their preparation to make maggi noodles by collecting resources from our surroundings. There were limited resources available as we were in the middle of a mountain trek. We were finally able to collect all the material required for the activity, but it definitely wasn’t an easy task.

Our hustle began from the moment we decided to start the fire, however, it being our first time, we were unable to do it without the help of our EdTerra mentors. The amiable behaviour of the mentors towards the struggling students was commendable. Throughout the whole process, they taught us to be self-reliant and guided us on every step of the process.

Many groups failed to complete the activity and tried to quit, yet, the EdTerra professionals kept motivating the students to achieve their goal. They reminded us that such skills are required to survive in the wild during treks. In this process, we faced a lot of problems. We panicked at times but no matter how long we took to complete the activity, the mentors supported us without judging us on our failed attempts. Overall, it was an exciting experience for us.
