We visited Jaipur’s Jantar Mantar. It was built by Sawai Jai Singh. Jantar Mantar includes a total of 19 fixed astronomical instruments. It was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 2010. Vrihat Samrat Yantra is the largest stone sundial in India. Jantar Mantar’s name is derived from a Sanskrit word “yantra”, which literally means an instrument. There are five Jantar Mantar in India.

We also visited the Amer Fort in Jaipur, which was built by Man Singh I. The main entry of Amer Fort is through the Suraj Pol, which literally translates as Sun Gate in Hindi. The Diwan-e-Aam hall of Amer Fort was only for the common public. The Diwan-e-Khas hall of Amer Fort was only for the royal audience.

Sandstone and marble are the main materials used in the construction of Amer Fort. The Amer Fort was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in the year 2013. It is built near Maota Lake. There are a total of four courtyards in Amer Fort. We really enjoyed our journey through Jaipur.
