Singapore is a remarkable and prosperous nation with abundant opportunities for exploration. Visitors can experience the splendid River Cruise at Merlion Park, where the iconic lion statue commands attention. We noticed the towering skyscrapers adorn the skyline of Singapore, standing as a symbol of the country’s affluence. Currently, Tharman Shanmugaratnam holds the esteemed position of President of Singapore, while Lawrence Wong serves as the Prime Minister. We also came to know that the official currency of Singapore is the Singapore Dollar and the national anthem is “Majulah Singapura,” composed by Zubir Said. The national airline of Singapore is the Singapore Airlines.
The Merlion is the most prominent symbol in Singapore. Realistically, it is a half-lion, half-fish statue which represents the island nation’s bravery and history as a fishing island. We learnt that Singapore supports the principle of equality and stands firmly against racism. The country works towards the goals of sustainable energy and raising awareness about climate change. During our exploration, we got a glimpse of the cultural diversity of Singapore, with Chinese, Indian, and Arab communities living in harmony. It is noteworthy that the Singaporean cuisine predominantly comprises non-vegetarian dishes, with a focus on seafood such as shrimp and fish fillets. The dishes served were scrumptious. Eating them provided pleasure to our gustatory senses because the chef had artistically amalgamated spices, herbs, and vegetables.
In conclusion, we felt that Singapore stands out as a vibrant destination blending rich culture, stunning architecture, and culinary delights. Singapore’s commitment to cleanliness and sustainability is evident from the fact that it is the cleanest country in the world. It serves as a model for other nations and is a must visit for anyone seeking a remarkable travel experience.
