A journey through the Himalayas is more than just an adventure, it is an amazing experience that pushes people beyond their comfort zones. The beautiful mountains and difficult trails tested our physical strength. Our Koti adventure camp taught us valuable lessons along with providing fun and adventure.

We, the students of classes 7th and 8th of Mount Carmel school, Chandigarh, embarked on an adventure camp which turned out to be a really nice experience as there were a lot of things to explore. Along with appreciating the beautiful nature that surrounded us, we also participated in some adrenaline pumping activities like rope balancing, valley crossing, ziplining, and obstacle course. We also went on a hike and learnt how to cook Maggi noodles in the wild. This was a very important lesson as during treks we have to cook with very limited resources.

We believed that it was a good and rewarding trip as we learnt a lot of things. The experience was beyond our comfort zone, but it proved quite memorable. We also learnt the principles of LNT (Leave No Trace), which are some guidelines we have to follow to ensure we don’t destroy the nature around us. One of the important LNT principles is to dispose of our waste properly.

This was a very educational trip for us. We learnt a lot of things including how to use a first aid kit and survive in the forest. Sometimes you have to step out of your comfort zone to enjoy the beautiful things around you.
