Your group’s Journey Mentor stays with you 24/7 and plays the role of program facilitator and educator. S/he takes care of all program logistics (hotels, transportation, meals and more), as well as the on-ground educational immersion. You can read more about his role here.
Apart from the Journey Mentor who introduces you to the culture at a general level, you stand to gain perspective building knowledge and insight during museum visits, city tours and sightseeing/monument tours with your local guide. We require a minimum group size of 30 students. In case the group size falls short we merge that group with another school(s). Although we try to give you a personal group, we believe that travelling in mixed groups is a great way to make friends from other schools, and to keep the costs down.
All hotels are audited by EdTerra for benchmark standards for quality, safety and cleanliness. Students share rooms with 2-3 other travellers of the same gender.
Breakfast is normally served in hotels and is either Continental or American. Lunch is usually fast food or local cuisine. We offer sit-down dinner at a restaurant of choice (subject to availability on-location). Also, some meals may be served during the flight or in the train wherever applicable and/or meal credit may be provided at certain locations.
Itineraries are designed to offer free time at specific locations. This is the time for students to soak in the local culture, enjoy local delicacies and buy souvenirs for their loved ones.
