Our trip to Spain and Greece was filled with joy and memorable experiences. The place we enjoyed visiting the most was the Oracle of Delphi, located on the top of Mount Parnassus.

Our trip to the Oracle of Delphi started with a three-hour bus ride to the base of Mount Parnassus. We were excited to climb Mount Parnassus to reach the famed Oracle of Delphi. As we climbed, our experienced guide narrated and enlightened us with the history of Oracle of Delphi. We got really fascinated by the detail in which Greek Mythology covers the importance each part of the monuments.

In the midst of history

UNESCO recognizes the Oracle of Delphi as a world heritage site for its influence on the ancient world. As per the ancient Greeks, Delphi was the centre of the earth and they built a sanctuary for Apollo, the god of music, truth and prophecy, healing, the sun and light, plague, poetry and so many other things which affect humans. The Temple of Apollo is the most important building where all the offerings are kept. According to mythology, it is considered that this was the place where the two eagles met as they were sent by Zeus from the two ends of the universe.

It is a beautiful breathtaking place and everyone who visits Athens must make sure to visit this monument and enjoy its architectural beauty. The already beautiful shores of Greece inspired this architectural beauty. We would like to conclude by saying that Delphi is a must-visit place.  We should keep and preserve the monument and its history for future generations. When you go there, do remember to take a local guide who explains the mythology well during your visit.
