ABOUT EDTERRA EDVENTURES

EdTerra Edventures offers exciting, outdoor learning experiences and journeys to young people that are specifically designed to complement in-class learning in innovative ways that both challenge and entertain their minds. EdTerra programs will largely be offered through the school and will take place during the school year. Within the K-12 segment, the primary focus of EdTerra programs will be classes II-XII.

Assistant Manager Operations

Job Description

We seek a dynamic candidate with 5-7 years experience in independently handling all aspects of domestic travel. S/he must possess excellent planning, negotiation and monitoring skills and is required to handle nationwide booking of hotels, restaurants, buses, cabs, rail and air tickets. S/he should be able to, prepare, cost and modify domestic itineraries, handle tight deadlines, develop and maintain company-vendor contract-based relationships and improve on vendor rates.

Journey Mentor - Senior

Job Description

Position and number of vacancy: Senior-Journey Mentors - 2 positions
Job Title: Senior-Journey Mentors
Reporting: Team Leader - Program Development Team
Function: Program Development Team
Location: Noida with extensive travel across both domestic and international circuit.
Overview: EdTerra Edventures Pvt Ltd is an outdoor education company that complements in-class learning by offering exciting learning experiences and journeys to young people. EdTerra programs are delivered through schools during the school year with a focus on classes II - XII

Roles and responsibilities: The applicant would be working full - time in the Program Development Team, whose task is to research and design educational journeys for school students. This work would include, among other tasks, conducting background research on a travel destination, determining sites of educational interest based on pre-defined criteria, and collaborating with the team to design fun educational activities for students.
In short, this position involves working on a team to take a journey from the idea phase right through to execution, using background research and creativity as your tools. This means both in - office work and in the field journeys with students. This position includes lots of room for imagination and collaboration with team members and other content developers. The ability to research effectively, write well, work hard and put yourself in the mind of a student are of paramount importance.

Skills and competency required (Essential):

  1. Post graduate with a minimum of 2 years in-office researching, editing and/or writing experience.
  2. Excellent command of written and verbal English.
  3. Ability to think and write creatively as well as provide guidance to others to do the same.
  4. Ability to conduct thorough internet research and compile it effectively.
  5. Ability to work with children and teachers effectively while maintaining the professional equations.
  6. Professionally proven organizational and time-management skills.
  7. Willingness to travel extensively across both domestic and international circuits at short notice.
  8. Experience compiling training manuals and other corporate communications materials would be an asset.
Remuneration: As per the qualification of the candidate at par with the industry.

Manager - Program Development

Job Description

The applicant would be working full-time as the Manager of the Program Development Team, whose task is to research and design educational journeys for school students. In addition to all managerial tasks such as laying out team time lines, priorities and team responsibilities, this work would include, among other tasks, conducting background research on travel destinations, determining sites of educational interest based on pre-defined criteria, and collaborating with the team to design fun educational activities for students. The Program Development Manager would be responsible for the output of the Program Development Team, meaning that all final editing must pass across his/her desk. This final version of this work will be in English, and must be free of any spelling or grammatical errors.

In short, this position involves working on a team to take a journey from the idea phase right through to execution, using background research and creativity as your tools. This means both in-office work and in the field journeys with students. This position includes lots of room for imagination and collaboration with team members and other content developers. The ability to manage a team smoothly, research effectively, write excellently, work hard and put yourself in the mind of a student are of paramount importance.

Manager - Operations

Roles and responsibilities:

  1. Negotiate best deals with ground handlers, both within India and abroad on Company's behalf.
  2. Handle day to day operation management.
  3. Have a complete knowledge of visa processing of various Embassies. Should be able to set the process to streamline the visa procurement by students for their travel. Provide verbal and written advice to clients about visa services and eligibility. Is required to analyze/advise documentation and handles enquiries as per the requirements of onshore processing centre.
  4. Managing budgets and maintaining statistical/financial records.
  5. Sourcing products from local suppliers at destinations to meet consumer demands/needs.
  6. Taking part in familiarization visits to new destinations in order to gain information on issues and amenities of interest to consumers.
  7. Liasing with travel partners, including airlines and hotels, to manage bookings and schedules, often one year in advance.
  8. Dealing with customer enquiries and aiming to meet their expectations.
  9. Manage the smooth, efficient running of the operations.
  10. Constantly work on prices/costs and thus ensure the profitability of the company.
  11. Meeting regularly with team members to take feedback and understand the customer's requirements and needs.
  12. Meeting company directors who advise on strategy and finding out about any local issues and future trends.
  13. Pre-departure presentation to the traveling groups.
Skills and competency required (Essential):
  1. Should have 8 - 10 years of experience of working in a travel agency, 3 - 4 years of operational work experience in the domestic and overseas circuit is must.
  2. Excellent interaction, communication and very strong negotiation skills.
  3. Excellent problem solving skills.
  4. Strong initiative, self - direction, and follow - through skills
  5. Collaborate with all the departments within the company.
  6. Ability to develop long term operational strategies and processes for the company.

Sales Support Specialist

Job Description

This position is the primary point of contact for sales Team to initiate and complete administrative tasks associated with their work responsibilities. The SSS will assist to develop new business, prepare letters and quotations and assist to negotiate and establish new business contacts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide quality service to EdTerra’s internal and external customers in all assigned tasks, while upholding EdTerra Values at all times.
  • Process quotes and proposals on behalf of the Sales team and ensure accurate and timely entry of quotes in data base and delivery of quotes to customers. Ensure all prices quoted remain within established guidelines. Ensure all quotes are created utilizing EdTerra’s standard quote process.
  • Serve the primary contact for Sales team for assistance in their territory/account management responsibilities. Work closely with customer service, program development and other teams as required or requested. Enter opportunities and activities in the data base and help in preparing itineraries. Communicate/follow up on product/sales information with customers as per the request of the Sales team.

Journey Support Officer

Job Description

EdTerra Edventures is looking for young, intelligent and people-friendly individuals who can work full-time to support the process of offering exceptional educational journeys to students. This person would be involved in the designing, organizing and conducting of these journeys to various destinations. The applicant should be flexible and adaptable, able to work professionally in the office with colleagues and be a source of fun, excitement and leadership while on the road with students. In addition, they should at all times be highly organized and motivated. A good command over both verbal English and Hindi is essential.

Responsibilities Will Include:

  • Undertaking EdTerra student journeys to various destinations
  • Dealing one-on-one with students and teachers in a fun and professional manner
